Successful auction for stock reduction

HORSE24 Special Auction in Westphalia successful

With the HORSE24 Special Auction, the Westfälisches Pferdeseammbuch supported the breeders hourse Stockem in the south of Germany in reducing its stock. 30 horses with highly interesting, mostly jumping pedigrees were for sale in this online auction. The interest of the customers in the talents for the show jumping course was great. In the end, all the riding horses, youngsters, broodmares and foals on offer found a new owner. The riding horses and the broodmares in foal were particularly popular.

The most expensive offer was the already ridden three-year-old daughter of Diamant De Semilly/Lancer III, Dudu, who changed hands at the knockdown price of 9,750 Euros. Austria will be the future home of the Quickthago VDL/Lupicor son Qui. The two-year-old was worth 9,000 Euros to his new owners. Among the foals, the Arezzo VDL/Quick Star daughter Arielle was especially in demand. She changed hands for 7,750 Euros. Her dam Quaiti was one of the most sought-after broodmares. The Quick Star/Lancer III daughter was victorious in international show jumping competitions. Her new owners invested 8,000 Euros in the bay mare. She is in foal again for 2022 to Arezzo VDL. Two more of her offspring were for sale at this auction with the head numbers 3 and 15. The last offer of the evening was the most expensive broodmare. After a long bidding duel between customers from Austria and Germany, the Baloubet du Rouet/Contendro daughter Baloushiwa was knocked down to Austria for 8,250 Euros. She is in foal to Hardrock for 2022.

All in all, the 30 horses sold achieved a total turnover of 193,250 Euros. On average, the customers invested 6,442 Euros in their new four-legged friend. The three to five year old riding horses reached an average price of 8,042 Euros. For a broodmare in foal, an average of 6,750 Euros had to be invested that evening. The interest from abroad was mainly reflected in the pre-bids. In the end, four horses will leave Germany. "I am very pleased that this pilot project worked so well. As a breeding association, it is not only our task to sell the most expensive horses, but to support our breeders in marketing their horses. We succeeded very well with this auction. A sales quota of 100 per cent speaks for itself," said auction manager Thomas Münch about this successful pilot project.
